Understanding the pivotal role of education in shaping the future, we offer scholarships for students venturing into research realms that echo our mission. Our scholarship program nurtures bright minds who showcase an innate passion and drive toward Dharmic philosophies. Through this initiative, we aim to foster a generation of thinkers and doers who will steer the world to a path of righteousness and harmonious living.
Through our scholarship fund, we offer financial aid ranging from $1000 to $5000 to facilitate studies or research in various disciplines.
Application Process
Our aim is to simplify the application process for all applicants. Please send the following to :
- CV, including overall GPA
- A short statement (1-2 sentences) illustrating the connection between your research and Dharmic principles
- An executive summary (up to 1 page) to highlight key details of your proposal. You may include an optional appendix for further readings or evidence.
We typically respond to applications within 1-2 weeks, often sooner.
Funding Scope
We welcome applicants from various fields. Below are some examples of types of research we have funded or are interested in funding:
- Medicine/Health
- Disease Prevalence: Initiatives to identify and mitigate diseases common in the South Asian diaspora, such as cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.
- Nutritional Studies: Research to develop balanced diets congruent with the culinary traditions of the diaspora.
- Genetic Studies: Understanding genetic predispositions to diseases in the South Asian populace and creating preventive strategies.
- Anthropology/Sociology
- Examining cultural identity and integration patterns in the diaspora.
- Preserving ancient languages or investigating bilingualism.
- Studying intergenerational relations, including the transfer of values and traditions.
- Engineering/Design
- Urban Planning: Projects focused on urban planning solutions for rapidly expanding Indian cities.
- Transportation: Innovations to tackle unique transportation hurdles in India and abroad.
- Assistive Technologies: Crafting technologies to assist elderly individuals, with a focus on culturally sensitive solutions.
- Data/Computation
- Predictive Analytics: Leveraging big data to predict socioeconomic trends affecting the South Asian diaspora and shape policy.
